CONCEPT
Inspired by the musical rhythm of the Zorba dance, the footprints en-graved in its popular origins and the contrast between the sophisti-cated genius of Kazantzakis and the extrovert dynamic, simple but deep character of his hero, we developed an architectural language, focused to interrupt the monotonous visible hotel room repetition and blend the scheme with the monolithic landscape.
FORM
The design challenge was to reduce the massive character of the building program.
The idea was to ‘Peel the Landscape” and lift the green roofs to shelter the uses,
integrate the scheme with the overwhelming scale of the site and its natural environment.
CIRCULATION
An efficient organic network of Front and Back of House circulation system binds the operational needs of the Resort, offering private road access to the villas and a marina with exclusive mooring for the yacht owners.
TYPOLOGIES
The resort offers a flexible range of different interconnected accommoda-tion options, from 40 sqm 3bed rooms to a 160 plus sqm Villas (hillside + seaside), with amphitheatrical view to the sea.
